Write for Television and Radio Magazine and e-newsletter

Writer's Guidelines

Television and Radio Magazine and Intara e- newsletter FOCUS welcomes and publishes both new and experienced writers for both the magazine and website. We publish a wide range of authors and professionals in the industry. You do not have to be a published writer to have an article appear in the magazine or website.

Become a part of our growing creative community. Benefit from reaching our circulation, connecting with our readers, as well as receiving excellent exposure through the magazine, e-newsletter, and website.

Types of Articles We Publish:

How-to's; educational articles sharing tips and techniques related to television and radio, videomaking, and animation. Topics within the categories and sub-categories of development, pre-production, production, post production, distribution, and television and radio business.

We look for high-level educational content, how-to articles and case studies for high-level television and radio makers, videomakers, and storytellers.

Needs: Articles related to aspects of cinematography, lighting, directing, shooting, editing, videography, screenwriting, and other topics and sub-topics related to development, pre-production, production, and postproduction.

Word Count: Article length varies, depending on content. Average word count per article is 300 to 500 words for shorter pieces, and up to 1500 words for longer pieces.

By-line, Bio & Headshot:

Contributing Writers whose works are published in the magazine receive a by-line, short bio (up to 70 words), and photo in the magazine.

Publication Terms:

By submitting your articles for consideration in the magazine and/or website, you agree to publication terms. You grant full rights of your articles to Television and Radio Magazine and for printing or reprinting in the magazine, websites, back issues, special issues, archives, or digital versions of the magazine.

Photos and Production Stills:

Above 300 dpi; larger than 1260 pixels in width, and to be considered for the Cover, larger than 2625 pixels in width. Photo credits and short descriptions for captions. TIFF, EPS, or JPEG files accepted.

However, please keep in mind that articles go through phases of review by the editorial staff, so response time may vary. PLEASE DO NOT CALL for pitches, queries, or articles due to the high volume of phone calls we receive daily. Your questions and comments will be replied to faster by email. Television and Radio magazine is published quarterly in Nigeria by Opinions are solely those of the authors. Letters, article queries, photos, movie stills, film submissions, and unsolicited manuscripts welcome, but returned only with SASE. Submissions are subject to editing for style, content, and to exclusive rights provisions in this publication. Articles appearing in Television and Radio magazine, after a period of nine months, may be reprinted by Television and Radio Magazine for the website, back issues, special editions, archives or digital editions.
