The 1st Annual Nation’s Television Awards will take place in Asaba, Delta State on Saturday 4th December 2010 (and subsequently on the first Saturday in December in following years). The Awards is designed to recognize and reward program and production excellence. The Awards, presented by the International Network for Television and Radio Advancement, are a platform to honour and celebrate outstanding Nigeria creativity, talent and achievement and to encourage a high standard of arts and technique in work produced.

The winners are granted a Trophy presented during the annual awards ceremony.

The Awards are open to all talented Nigerian people working in television industry in Nigeria.

A Board of Trustees who is consulted on all major decisions and will meet annually to review the operational and financial issues of the event, manages the Nation’s Television Awards

Members of the Advisory Board of Trustees consist of industry practitioners, decision makers and opinion leaders from major broadcasting stations and government authorities in Nigeria.

Up to five nominations are made in each category. Awards are also given to the Terrestrial Broadcaster of the Year and the Cable & Satellite Network of the Year (indigenous). A first rate auditing firm tabulates all voting results. Secrecy is maintained – results are not revealed until the awards night.

CALL FOR ENTRIES FOR NATION'S TELEVISION AWARDS 2010. Entries for the inaugural Nation’s Television Awards for the different categories are for programmes produced and aired for the first time between January 2009 and 31st July 2010 to be eligible for entry. No repeated programmes aired during this period will be eligible. Any programme found in breach of this will be disqualified.

Entries close 16th August 2010.
